Ancillary Services

Ancillary refers to tests and procedures ordered by healthcare providers to assist in diagnosis or treatment (pathology, radiology, laboratory, etc). Ancillary Services refer to necessary services that supplement the care of patients. These types of services are generally rendered outside of the provider’soffice and are not primarily responsible in the clinical management or direct treatment of patients.
